Vickery - it looks like you worked wonders in a short time! I hope Sake is happy in her new home, as well as you and Bryant. Talk to you soon..... PS - I'm almost done with the Icarus shawl but I've run out of yarn. Now I need to figure out how to comprise on the finishing.
I first learned how to knit from my mom who cast on and bound off for me. I promptly forgot about knitting and didn't pick sticks up again until 4 years ago. A good friend had just learned to knit and was taking a trip to the yarn store. Maybe it's because I was born in the year of the sheep but for some reason that yarn store called to me...Imagiknit. My Mecca. I didn't know what to do but I knew I had to have that purple Manos.
My friend showed me the basics and I hadn't knit two stitches when the motion felt familiar. Somehow my hands remembered and I was off! I have to say that I haven't looked back since.

Looks like home, sweet home. I'm sure you all will be very comfortable there due to your hard work. Love the pillows.
It looks great - and so cosy! It looks like a wonderful place to relax at the end of the day. :)
