Just a few WIP's

Homesick or My Trip to Wyoming

Last week B and I went home for the first time since Christmas. It had actually been awhile since I had been to Cody in the summertime and it was so Beautiful. I have no words except to say that it made me very homesick for wide open spaces...

These amazing pictures are of my amazing mother-in-law's garden. The barn in the back was the original Cody Dairy and the pond has these amazing giant goldfish living in it!
We were back for their end-of-summer celebration and it was an amazing party--food, people, singing and guitar playing--everything was perfect and I know that's why I'm homesick. If I were there all the time it wouldn't be so perfect every day, would it?
B went bouldering with his brother, pictured here:

How cool is he? People in Wyoming are so interesting and eclectic.

I freakin' love top-down sweaters!

Yet another Green Gable top...

I'd like to thank the ladies at Zephyrstyle.com for this great pattern. The only annoying thing about it was the cotton content in the yarn. I used the recomended yarn and needles to achieve guage. The only modification was that I added a few inches to the length of the body to cover my LONG torso, and I had to re-knit the bottom ribbing because the first time I didn't knit it tight enough and it kept flipping up which was super annoying.

I've already worn this to work a few times, and I love the color. I think this is one that I'll get a lot of wear out of.

Oh--and between this and the Forecast sweater that I'm knitting--I don't think I can ever go back from top-down sweaters knit in one piece without seams. I even bought myself a little treat and have plans for my stash stewing in this head of mine!
