OMG, I just read your comment on my blog. We so have to get together!!!!! Can you email me? My addy is on my profile. I'm not exactly in your age range, but, heh, knitting knows no bounderies, and we are so excited to be moving to Cody!! Hubby is there already, so has applied to Police dept. I'd love to hear from you.' Sue J.
Are you and hubby for sure moving? Wish you could make a trip down to LB before you go! We miss you terribly (especially me, SnB just aint the same w/o you)! And when the new HP book comes out, who will venture to the BN with me to get it?
I first learned how to knit from my mom who cast on and bound off for me. I promptly forgot about knitting and didn't pick sticks up again until 4 years ago. A good friend had just learned to knit and was taking a trip to the yarn store. Maybe it's because I was born in the year of the sheep but for some reason that yarn store called to me...Imagiknit. My Mecca. I didn't know what to do but I knew I had to have that purple Manos.
My friend showed me the basics and I hadn't knit two stitches when the motion felt familiar. Somehow my hands remembered and I was off! I have to say that I haven't looked back since.
